Description
English: A wooden wheelchair ramp on the west side of the "Accord Civil Rights Museum" on the southeast corner of Bridge and Oneida Streets in the Lincolnville Historic District in Saint Augustine, Florida. The house was the former dental office of Dr. Rudolph N. Gordon and later Dr. Robert B. Hayling, and was one of the few facilities in St. Augustine that was never segregated, in resistance to Jim Crow laws of the period. Furthermore, when the Ku Klux Klan sent Knight Riders into Lincolnville to terrorize the people he retaliated by shooting back at them. Taken while on foot.
